(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The protest came a few hours after unknown persons detonated a gas pipeline between Egypt and Israel. This is the second attack against the pipeline in three months.
According to sources, the protestors gathered at a bridge near the "Israeli" embassy in Cairo calling on their government to stop all forms of normalization with "Israel", and to stop providing it with natural gas.
Egyptian blogger and activist, Husam Al Hamlawy, stated that this protest came in response to statements made by "Israeli" President, Shimon Peres, who "saluted the Egyptian revolution that led to the removal of former president, Hosni Mubarak", adding that Peres called on the Egyptian youth to normalize with "Israel".
Egypt recently decided to reconsider its gas agreements with different countries, including Israel, and initiated investigations into suspicious deals signed with Tel Aviv.
