(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Commenting on the situation in Libya on Thursday, Ban Ki Moon said: "Half-a-million people have fled the country, they have been affected, in worst cases, more than 3 million people have been affected by this humanitarian situation. Therefore, Colonel Gaddafi, he has to listen attentively to the call of the international community. Gaddafi must fully comply with U.N. security council resolutions 1970 and 1973".
Ki-Moon told an international conference on Libya's future in the Qatari capital of Doha: "We must mobilize all means at our disposal, including military, to get aid to those who need it."
He added "Approximately 490,000 people -- almost half a million people -- have left the country since the crisis began."
The conference is being held in Qatar with the participation of representatives from the EU, NATO, the African Union as well as the US.
Members from the Libyan opposition's Transitional National Council are also participating.
