Libya govt. arrests two Britons

Briatin voiced concern over the fate of two British businessmen who have been captured by the Libyan government and kept in detention for over three weeks.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The two brothers, Zeyad and Ghazi Ramadan, have been working for a software firm in north Libya since December 2010.

The two, along with their two Libyan businessmen guests, were arrested by a group of Internal Security Agency officials who broke into their house in west Tripoli, the capital of Libya, on March 19.

The officers stayed at the property for several more hours to search for documents.

Amnesty International has asked the Libyan government to reveal the location of the arrested people's father. Zeyad, 39, and Ghazi, 40, are in danger of being 'tortured or killed' by the Libyan military.

"We're very worried for these four men and it's disturbing that this amount of time has passed without word of their whereabouts. The Libyan authorities should reveal the men's location and either immediately release them or charge them with a proper criminal offence,” Kate Allen, the charity's UK director, said.
