(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A new settlement called Madinat-o-Salaam,special for new converters to Islam, was opened in the Republic of Uganda by Al-Rahmah Charity Institute.
It was opened with the presence of Abdul-Rahim Naghi, head of the official council of the institute and some of the members who paid a visit to the settlement which was set up as one of the institute’s projects.
The institute has started establishment of schools and mosques as well as places for the orphans and supporting the poor families in Uganda.
The officials also visited Zamzam School which was founded in 2007 with 8 classes, a kitchen, a laboratory, a library, a great mosque and a hostel for the orphans. The school has got the 22nd rank among the best schools of the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, head of the charity institute announced that a new mosque will be set up by the institute which will be the 41st mosque in Uganda.
Al-Rahmah Charity Institute financially supports 600 orphans in the country.
