(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Al-Quran Interpretation Lecture Program is one of the methods in providing understanding of the contents of the al-Quran especially to the public in the country.
By understanding the contents of the al-Quran, it would be easier for the reader to benefit from the teachings of the holy book that acts as guidance and blessings for those with iman or faith. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar in his address at the Appreciation Ceremony of the Al-Quran Interpretation Lecture Programme for 1431 hijrah corresponding to 2010.
The function was held in appreciation of the implementation of the Al-Quran Lecture Program for 2010 that involved more than 300 participants from several government departments and ministries in the country, including undergraduates, students of Higher Studies Institution and mosque youth. A series of 14 lecture programs had been held, starting in January 2010 until May 2010. The idea for the program was mooted by the Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin who also acts as the guide for the lecture program. The program was produced for the first time by the MABIMS Al-Quran Studies and Dissemination Centre with the cooperation of the Dakwah Unit of Radio Television Brunei.
The program will be telecast on the 15th of April 2011 over RTB1 and RTB5. Meanwhile, extracts of the question and answer session of the program will be telecast throughout the month of Ramadhan. The function continued with the presentation of appreciation to the Programme`s Guide, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin and to the participants of the lecture program.
