(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmad Shafiq said Sunday that deposed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is still in the country in the Red Sea resort town of Sharm al-Sheikh, amid rumors that the ousted strongman had fled Egypt.
Shafiq also said earlier on Sunday that the first priority of his caretaker government is to restore peace, after 18 days of anti-regime protests that paralyzed the country.
"The first priority for this government is to restore security and to facilitate daily life for its citizens," he told reporters after holding his first cabinet meeting since Mubarak stepped down on Friday.
