(AhlulBayt News Agency) - “I am telling to [Vice President] Mr. [Omar] Suleiman that there is no termination for this revolution and we will not tolerate this regime,” Nour said in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Suleiman said the government cannot tolerate more protests against President Hosni Mubarak.
“What Mr. Suleiman says is very dangerous, particularly what has been published today in Al-Ahram newspaper. He said either dialogue or coup d'état,” Nour warned.
“These are against democracy and these are very dangerous indications,” he reiterated.
On Tuesday night, Suleiman said the crisis must end, adding, "We don't want to deal with Egyptian society with police tools."
However, he warned that if dialogue with the protesters failed, the alternative was "that a coup happens, which would mean uncalculated and hasty steps, including lots of irrationalities".
The opposition leader warned the government against buying time, saying, “In fact the time is against the regime. The regime is swimming against the current because it has been isolated.”
Recent massive demonstrations show that “the revolution is expanding and the regime is losing,” he added.
Nour pointed out that “the opposition today is stronger than ever before.”
He also predicted that anti-Mubarak demonstrations would escalate in the coming days.
Protests in crisis-hit Egypt have continued despite the government's promise of constitutional reforms and an offer of pay rise to public sector workers.
Egyptian people say they cannot trust the government, especially after what has transpired over the past two weeks.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) has put the death toll of Egyptian protesters at almost 300.
