Darul Quran conducts a three day seminar for Quranic teachers in Kano

The 2nd three-day (from Wednesday 15th-Friday 17th Safar 1432 (19th-21st January, 2011) seminar themed “Towards improving the standards of Quranic teachers” organized by Darul Quran for teachers in traditional and conventional Quranic schools.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The 2nd three-day (from Wednesday 15th-Friday 17th Safar 1432 (19th-21st January, 2011) seminar themed “Towards improving the standards of Quranic teachers” organized by Darul Quran for teachers in traditional and conventional Quranic schools.

 The seminar was conducted at the  Darul Quran Centre , opposite Bayero University Kano (old campus) and in attendance were Quranic teachers from various traditional Quranic schools (makarantan Allo) and contemporary Quranic schools (Islamiyya schools).

Resource persons at the seminar include Mal Yusuf Abdullahi, Mal Auwal Shamsu, Mal Muhammad Adis, Mal Nura Lawan and Mal Abdul Razak Umar who delivered lectures on different topics directed towards improving Quranic education.

Mal Sunusi Abdul Kadir koki was the guest of honour  at the seminar which closed on Friday. Mal Sunusi reiterated the significance of Quran and Quranic education, reminding the participants that the life in the world is short and  as such one has to prepare for the eternal life. He called all Muslims towards equipping themselves by practicing the commandments and directives of Allah (T) as contained in the Holy Quran. He  further called on the participants, being teachers of the Holy Quran, to try to be in  position to teach the Quran appropriately. He also reminded them about the two weighty things the holy Prophet (SAWA) has left for Muslims “The Holy Quran and his Noble Progeny (Ahlul Bait (AS))”.

While speaking, the director of the centre Mal Yusuf Abdullahi,  reiterated the goal of the centre in upholding the Holy Prophet’s message and the two weighty things, thus the centre has initiated various programme towards this end.
