18th "Great Islamic Encyclopedia" released

Supervised by Kazem Mousavi, the 18th volume of "Great Islamic Encyclopedia" collection, a research work of Great Islamic Encyclopedia Center has been published.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - According to the Majlis Library Website, the book holds 255 entries. The Great Islamic Encyclopedia contains various entries in different fields including Islamic culture and civilization. For instance Quranic studies, political and social history, historical geography, Islam and its sects, philosophy and mysticism, Islamic land's literature and language, the history of mathematics and nature, arts and architecture in Islamic lands, anthropology as well as the cultural aspects of Muslim tribes.

The Great Islamic Encyclopedia center is a research-scientific organization which was established in Tehran in 1983 in order to compile and publish Islamic, public and specialized encyclopedias. Its first research work was "Great Islamic Encyclopedia" which is published in English, Persian and Arabic.

The 18th volume of "Great Islamic Encyclopedia" has been marketed in 5000 versions and 777 pages.
