Int’l Forum on “Sirah Nabawi (PBUH)” in Egypt

An international forum on Sirah Nabawi (PBUH) was held on the weekend at Cairo University in Egypt.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An international forum on Sirah Nabawi (PBUH) was held on the weekend at Cairo University in Egypt.

According to Moheet website, it was organized by the Department of History and Islamic Civilization of Dar-ol-Ulum Faculty of Cairo University. The two-day program was attended by eminent scholars and lecturers from Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Malaysia, India and the US.

Mohammad Saleh Towfigh, the dean of the faculty said 8 researches on “Sirah Nabawi (PBUH) in modern planning system” and “Islamic economy; comparison between the prophet’s time and current economic systems” were discussed on the first day of the meeting.”

“On the second day of the program, 7 researches were presented on ‘sources of insults to the prophetic tradition by some orientalists following the September 11 attacks.”

Abdul Fattah Fathi, head of the department of History said that the second day included 4 sessions chaired by Abdul Rahman Jamaluddin, Abdul Shafi Abdullatif, Taher Ragheb and Hassan Ali.
