Africa (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The chairman, Bwari Area Council, Mr. Peter Yohanna Ushafa, has congratulated the entire Muslim faithful on the celebration of the Eld-el-Kabir festival.
In his congratulatory message to the Muslim communities in the area, the chairman urged the residents to be security conscious during and after the festive period and wished them successful celebrations.
A statement by his Press Secretary, Daodu Dasha, also thanked the people of the area for living harmoniously without religious, political and ethnic rancour and urged them to maintain the status.
In a similar development, the council boss has expressed his administration’s determination to work with the relevant security agents to ensure adequate security in the area.
He was speaking while receiving the Commandant, Seven Guards battalion, Abuja, Lt Colonel Isiaka Olatuji who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Mr. Yohanna said as Chief Security Officer of the council, there is need to collaborate with the guards battalion to achieve maximum security.
He urged the commandant to monitor densely populated satellite towns in the area, regretting that absence of vehicles have crippled security patrol in the area.
Earlier, the Commandant, Lt Colonel Isiaka Olatunji, said the visit was to familiarise with the council, which he described as a major catchment area of his command.
