177 male and female Quran memorizers participated in the competition.
It was held in 5 categories of memorization of the entire Quran for 17 and 10 year-old participants, and memorization of 20, 15 and 10 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
The ceremony was attended by Badr-ud-din Abdullah, Sudanese ambassador to Kenya, Mohammad Othman, vice president of Kenya’s Muslim Scholars Council, Abubakr San’an, representative of the World Association of Quran Memorization as well as a number of Quranic figures of the country.
Speakers appreciated the association’s efforts aimed at serving Islam and Muslims and holding Quranic contests in various countries.
