Mohamed Shehata, Samir Al-Malhy, Hussein Abdel Razik, Reda Abdou and Hisham Rashid have been arrested during a raid at dawn, the opposition group said.
Another three leaders escaped as they were not at home when the police arrived, the group added.
On Tuesday, 65 members of the group were arrested in a security campaign in the same city.
Earlier this month, police arrested some 164 members of the group and shut down its 90 businesses, the group said.
The latest arrests came few days after the group confirmed on Oct. 9 their participation in November's legislative elections as independents.
Candidates of the Muslim Brotherhood, officially banned in 1954 for its attempt to set up an Islamic government, could run in the polls as independents. Its candidates won 88 seats, or nearly one fifth of the total, in the 2005 parliament elections.
