(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A mourning ceremony on martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja’far Sadeq (AS) was held on October 3 by Iran Cultural Center in Khartoum, Sudan.
Seyyed Hamed Malakuti Tabar, Iran cultural attaché in Sudan, said: “though following Maleki school of thought, Sudani Muslims are among lovers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) and their teachings and participate in various ceremonies held on religious occasions.”
He noted that all of the cultural activities of the center aim to strengthen the unity of Muslims of different schools of thought.
“Today, the unity of Shia and Sunni Muslims is the most important objective of the world of Islam in order to prevent enemies to cause divisions in Islamic community and to prevent their plots. As a member of the Islamic community, we also try our best to highlight this objective in our activities and call Muslims in all parts of the world to maintain their unity to be able to stand against the world arrogance and the Zionist regime.”
The Iranian representative concluded by saying that it is in the interest of Iran and Sudan to be united and that the Iranian cultural center in Sudan tries its best to realize this objective.
