Head of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly: Hajj is the Axis of Islamic Unity

In a speech delivered at Hajj Regional Seminar in Tanzania, Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari, head of Ahl-ul-bayt (AS) World Assembly referred to the Hajj ceremony as the axis of the Islamic unity.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; TANZANIA, Africa -- In a speech delivered at Hajj Regional Seminar in Tanzania, Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari, head of Ahl-ul-bayt (AS) World Assembly referred to the Hajj ceremony as the axis of the Islamic unity.

He talked about the main features of Hajj and emphasized that one of the goals of this ceremony is to promote Islamic unity in Muslim communities.

Referring to Hajj as a great assembly in the Islamic world, he added that Muslims should seize this precious opportunity to reinforce their solidarity against the imperialists of the world.

The seminar featuring “Hajj and International Unity of Islamic Ummah” started on September 26 in Dar es Salaam, capital of Tanzania, with the presence of representatives of Iran, South Africa, the Comoros Islands, Zambia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Congo and a number of other countries.

Present at the seminar were Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Qazi Asgar, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj affairs, Mehdi Mostafavi, advisor to the president and head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari, head of Ahl-ul-bayt (AS) World Assembly, Ahmad Hassan Mobini, Tanzania’s former president as the guest of honor, as well as a number of Tanzania’s governmental and parliamentary officials, cultural and religious figures from different African countries, and ambassadors of Islamic countries in Tanzania.

It was held by the Supreme Leader’s representative, in cooperation with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Ahl-ul-bayt (AS) World Assembly, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and Iran’s embassy and cultural center in Tanzania.

The Iranian delegation is on a visit to Africa to attend two seminars of Hajj. The first featuring “Hajj and Its Educational and Ethical Effects” was held a few days ago in Dar-ol-Imam Center in Algiers, capital of Algeria with the presence of cultural and political figures and thinkers from Iran and Algeria.
