Tanzania Hosting “Hajj and Int’l Unity of Islamic Ummah” Seminar

A regional seminar titled “Hajj and International Unity of Islamic Ummah” is being held for the first time across East and South Africa on September 26 and 27 in Dar es Salaam, capital of Tanzania.

According to Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, tens of ministers and Muslim MPs and over 70 prominent academic, cultural and religious figures from Tanzania as well as Hajj ministers and muftis from East and South African countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Comoros, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia, Congo, Mozambique, Madagascar, and South Africa) are expected to attend the seminar.

Also, the Iranian officials, Mehdi Mostafavi, advisor to the president and head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Qazi Asgar, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj affairs, Hojat-ol-Islam Sheikh Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, secretary general of Ahlulbayt (AS) International Society, Ali Layali, head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, as well as other officials of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and the official representative of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (head of the east office) are among the participants.

The seminar is to be held in the Merkham Hall of Dar es Salaam’s hotel with the cooperation of the Supreme Leader’s representative, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Bakwata Organization (Tanzania’s National Muslim Council) and Tanzania’s Hajj representative.
