Int’l Hajj Seminar Kicks off in Algeria

An international seminar of Hajj featuring “Hajj and Its Educational and Ethical Effects” is underway in Dar-ol-Imam Center in the city of Algiers with the presence of cultural and political figures and scholars from Iran and Algeria.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; According to Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, “Promoting the culture of Hajj is important in strengthening relations between Iran and Algeria,” said Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Qazi Asgar, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs in the opening ceremony of the seminar, stressing that holding the seminar is a good opportunity to promote religious relations.

The ceremony of Hajj has invaluable capacities in different spheres and sharing ideas about such great capacities can improve Islamic communities and let Muslims enjoy the outcomes, he added.

Also, Algeria’s minister of religious affairs thanked Iran’s efforts in holding the seminar adding that Hajj could be a good opportunity to promote cultural relations between the two countries.

It has influential outcomes for the Islamic community and such seminars can be a good place to discuss and exchange ideas, he further said.

Present at the seminar are Mehdi Mostafavi, head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Ali Layali, head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Algeria’s minister of religious affairs and other scientific and cultural figures.

The seminar is being held with the cooperation of the Supreme Leader’s representative, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and Iran’s embassy in Algeria.
