Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; SHANGHAI, -- Chinese Muslim investors in China have been invited to seize investment opportunities especially in the halal products industry in Perlis.
In extending the invitation, the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said a 30ha halal park is being actively developed in the Malaysia-Thailand border town of Padang Besar.
"I believe Chinese Muslim investors in China will gainfully benefit from what Perlis has to offer following overwhelming response to Malaysian halal products worldwide," he told Chinese Muslim investors in and around Shanghai at the Malaysian consul-general office here Monday.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also said Perlis had a Inland Clearance Depot in Padang Besar which handled container and haulage movements between Malaysia and Thailand.
Perlis also had a herbal park that could be taken advantage by investors keen to invest in the herbal industry, said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who arrived here Monday on a week-long visit to China, heading the delegation of the Perlis Malay Customs and Islamic Religious Council.
