Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Organized by the country’s Awqaf and Zakat Affairs Department, the competition will kick off on Monday, September 20.
140 Quran memorizers from 73 Muslim and non-Muslim countries will attend the international event, according to head of the department’s office for Quranic activities.
He said the contest would be held in morning and evening sessions continuing until September 26.
On the sidelines of the competition various cultural and religious programs have been planned, he went on to say.
They include delivering lectures in mosques by prominent Libyan scholars and preachers as well as mounting an exhibition of religious books published in Libya.
