Ahlul Bayt News Agency, According to MAP, the ceremony was held with the presence of government officials and religious leaders of Tanja, head of council of scholars of the province and representative of Morocco’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
Besides winners of the Quranic competition who were awarded at the ceremony, scholars and jurists of the city were also honored for the influential role they have played in promoting the Quranic culture in Tanja.
The competition was organized on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan by the Association of Quranic Studies in Tanja in cooperation with the Islamic Teachings Association. Some 1600 Quran students of Islamic centers of the province took part in the competition.
