Ahlul Bayt News Agency, ALGIERS -- An Algerian aid ship is currently being prepared to be sent to the Gaza Strip early next month, Ahmed Latifi, the deputy speaker of the Algerian parliament speaker, revealed on Sunday.
He added in a press statement that the Algerian people had donated all the aid shipment aboard that ship.
Latifi was among the international activists who took part in the Freedom Flotilla that carried thousands of tons of assistance from various world countries to the Gaza Strip last May but was intercepted by the Israeli navy in a bloody incident that left nine Turkish activists dead and tens others injured.
For his part, the head of the aid convoys in the Arab Parliament, Abdul Qader Sumari, said that a new Arab aid convoy would reach Gaza by the end of September or early October.
