Ahlul Bayt News Agency, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM -- A report issued by Al-Maqdesi for society development organization stated that Israel has demolished 17 Palestinian homes displacing 50 people including 26 children in occupied Jerusalem since the start of this year. Other Four Palestinians were forced to knock down their own houses.

The report which was released on Sunday also said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) issued during the reporting period 1,030 demolition orders against Palestinian homes inhabited by 2,600 people, including 1,208 children, in different Jerusalem areas.

The report noted that the IOA targets all Palestinian neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, especially Silwan area, the Old City of Jerusalem and Beit Hanina area.

The report also touched on the building that was seized by Israeli settlers under the protection of the IOA, saying that the settlers forced out 146 Palestinians including 72 children from their homes after they took over eight buildings composed of 25 apartments in the holy city.

Nine other Palestinian citizens from Jerusalem were also ordered to evacuate their homes at the pretext they are owned by Israeli settlers.

In separate incidents, a Jerusalemite citizen were transferred to hospital after he was severely beaten by a group of savage Israeli settlers near the Mosque of Prophet Samuel located northwest of Jerusalem on Saturday night.

The Israeli police, for its part, stormed immediately the Mosque and kidnapped its imam and one of the Muslim worshipers inside the mosque, instead of arresting the assailants.

Extremist Israeli settlers seized years ago the ground floor of this Mosque in the village of Prophet Samuel while the IOA at the time sealed off the village and isolated it from other Palestinian villages in the northwest of Jerusalem.

In Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, dozens of Palestinians and foreign activists rallied in protest at Israel's expulsion of Jerusalemite citizens from their homes.

The Hebrew radio claimed that the protesters condemned an Israeli court decision ordering the expulsion of a number of Palestinian residents from their homes in the neighborhood in order to make Israeli settlers live in them.

For its part, the organization of the Islamic conference demanded the international community to pressure Israel to respect the international law and stop its persistent attacks on Jerusalem and its holy shrines.

In a statement issued on the 41st anniversary of the arson attack on the Aqsa Mosque, the organization urged its member states not to cease their support for the Palestinian people and their holy sites.
