Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), TEHRAN, Iran -- Tehran’s Barg Gallery will be playing host to a Ramadan Poster Exhibition which will take place from August 16 to September 6.
A selection of 70 posters with religious themes related to this holy month will go on display at the exhibit, said secretary of festival Ardeshir Mir-Mangareh.
Rituals and ceremonies practiced in this month, issues related to the nights of the 19th, 21st, and 23rd of Ramadan, which are known as the ‘grand nights’, and the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS) are the major topics of the items in the exhibit.
Works are selected by jury members Qobad Shiva, Masud Sepehr, Mostafa Oji, Farzad Adibi and Ehsan Parsa.
The exhibit is arranged to promote Islamic art and culture, he said, adding, “Posters are an art form and visual media that can communicate with the society in language that has a powerful impact to narrate valuable concepts.”
Organizers will select 13 winners who will receive their awards at the end of the exhibit. The gallery is located at No.13 Jamali St., off Vafamanesh Ave., in Heravi Square.
