Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian King Mizan Zainal Abidin Tuesday urged Muslim countries to further develop cooperation among them to boost community progress at the global level.
During his speech at the opening of the 52nd International Quran Reciters Assembly, in Putra World Trade Centre last night, King said that the socio-economic, political advancement and survival of Muslims need greater cooperation among Islamic countries.
"The Islamic world ,also needs greater unity in facing various threats like physical and spiritual attacks as well as the issue of Islam phobia", he added.
Abidin stressed that the issue of Islam phobia, which had poisoned the world community especially non-Muslim, needed to be tackled with urgency.
He further added that it was not impossible for Muslims to regain their glory of the past and that this could be achieved through greater unity, socio-economic cooperation and mastering of the latest technology.
