Regional conference on Islamic education in Uganda

The first regional conference on “Islamic Education in Uganda: Consolidating Gains, Ensuring a better Future” has opened today in Kampala, Republic of Uganda.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), The first regional conference on “Islamic Education in Uganda: Consolidating Gains, Ensuring a better Future” has opened today in Kampala, Republic of Uganda.

The conference, held as part of ISESCO/FUIW Chair at the Islamic University in Uganda, has gathered some 360 experts, researchers and academics from higher and public education institutions, student associations and teacher unions from Uganda and other East African countries.

The conference aims to develop statistical data and relevant material as a road map for the development of Islamic education in Uganda, and discuss how to best allocate necessary resources to further Muslim education not only in Uganda but in all East Africa.

Dr Mustafa Ahmed Ali, Head of the General Secretariat of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, represents ISESCO and the Federation in Uganda’s conference.
