Pakistani Shia group to hold anti-terror moot

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan will hold a “Wahdat-e-Millat convention“ an August 01st in Islamabad against target killings in Pakistan, MWM leaders said Monday.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), They told a news conference that political and religious parties will join and they will address the convention.

The MWM General Secretary Allama Nasir Abbas Jaferi, Deputy secretary Allama Muhamad Amin Shaheedi, Allama Asghar askari, Allama ijaz Hussain said that the government has failed to keep law and order situation in place.

They said the conference will play an important role in forging unity and adopting a united stand against terrorism and sectarianism.

They called upon the government to take stern action against terrorists and anti-nation elements and to protect lives and properties of the masses in target killings.

They condemned the ongoing target and sectarian killing in Karachi, Quetta, Dera Ismail Khan, Kurram Agency and other parts of the country.

They said that terrorists had been targeting mosques and imam-barghas in the past and now they also bombing people inside shrines.

The MWM leaders said that militants have now focused on southern Punjab, demanding of the government to launch operation against them.

They also expressed serious concern over what they called interference in Pakistan’s affairs by the American, British and NATO forces.
