Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Iran’s Velayat TV Network was launched on Saturday marking the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), the first Shiite Imam.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, told Mehr News Agency that the network programs are based on Qur’anic teachings.
“The network features teachings about Islamic values and household of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on a scientific basis,” he said.
“Fortunately, scholars from Qom Seminary are active in this network. They are trustworthy and have brilliant background.”
The ayatollah also hoped that Velayat network will soon cover sections, including Islamic ethics, introduction of prominent Muslim figures and Islamic books.
