This past Friday, the students were blessed with a meeting with Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Musavi Lari – author of several books on various Islamic topics and Chairman of the Foundation of Islamic Culture Propagation.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), As part of its mandate to serve the needs of community students, the WF-Qum office holds major programmes in English/Farsi at Dar al-Zahra (sa). To meet the needs of Francophone students of the community from various countries, weekly meetings are held on Fridays. The main purpose of these gatherings is to discuss various issues affecting students and communities in French-speaking countries. The meetings are led by and guided by the students themselves. In addition, the Dar al-Zahra (sa) library contains around 40 titles on many topics in French.

This past Friday, the students were blessed with a meeting with Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Musavi Lari – author of several books on various Islamic topics and Chairman of the Foundation of Islamic Culture Propagation. The organization overseen by Sayyid is responsible for mailing thousands of books world-wide gratis to interested individuals, communities and organizations, with the sole purpose of spreading the message of the True Islam as taught by the Prophet (saw) and his Ahl-al Bayt (as).

Ayatullah Musavi Lari has books on many Islamic concepts ranging from principles of Religion (usul al-deen) to ethical and spiritual self-building topics. His books have been translated into many languages including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Kiswahili, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, ... to name a few. The acceptance of his books worldwide is extraordinary and their reception in the process has seen thousands revert to their True Nature – the religion of Islam. Only recently, as narrated by Sayyid, a few books in Burkina Faso saw the reversion of many people and currently plans are underway to setup a “cultural room” to house a library of important Islamic titles for the general reference of the local community.

During the course of the meeting with Sayyid, he acknowledged each one of the students for their hard work and advised them to study as best as they could and return to their home communities to continue the immense and invaluable task of Tabligh. In response to questions by the students regarding challenges of life in the West, he mentioned the best solution to this is to increase the basic level of awareness of the populace in relation to Islam, and the only way forward is a well-designed and coherently planned Tabligh strategy. Once people acknowledge and accept the need for religious and spiritual values in the midst of their material life, the cultural values of their societies will be elevated.

In conclusion, Ayatullah Lari was thanked by Shaykh Nadir Jaffer for his time and reception of the students. Additionally Sayyid conveyed his salaams to all community members and has offered to mail books to any community requiring assistance with Tabligh in their respective languages. His mailing address is as follows:
