The Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria organises a three-day (2nd to 4th April 2010) conference on Islamic Thought at Unity School Conference Hall Bauchi. The programme was attended by students of Universities and other tertiary institutions. Academic Forum is a forum comprising of students of Universities and other higher institutions of learning.
During the three conference lectures were delivered by some invited speakers which include Mamala Zeenah Ibraheem, Dr . Abdullahi Danladi of Textile Department Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and Dr. Ibrahim Difa. Others include Malama Lubah, Mallam Dalhat, Malam Samir Sanusi and Mallam Nasir Tsafe.
Various topics about state of affairs of Islam and Muslims were discussed. On Sunday being the closing day, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered a closing lecture to the course participants where he spoke on the challenges facing Muslims in Nigeria and world over. Prior to this closing lecture, the leader also delivered a public lecture on Saturday night to thousands of people.
The programme is the 20th of its kind and is organized and sponsored students and members of academic circle.
