Al-Azhar calls to stop broadcasting of Prophet Joseph (A) Series

Assembly of Islamic Studies of Al-Azhar University in Egypt Referring to one of its previous legislation calls to stop broadcasting Iranian Series of Prophet Joseph (A) from the Egyptian and Arabic channels.

According to Ahlul Bayt (A) News Agency – ABNA.ir – “The Assembly have banned to depict and showing the Prophets and the Ahlul Bayt (A) of the Holly Prophet (A). In this serial, the face of Prophet Joseph (A) is showed and it is against Al-Azhar passed legislation and its broadcasting should be stopped” “Rafat Osman” a member of Assembly of Islamic Studies of Al-Azhar University in Cairo the capital of Egypt, explained about the request.

“Prophet Joseph (A) series had produced in I.R.Iran and decision-making about it doesn’t related to Al-Azhar. The serial had produced under consideration of Iranian religious communities and its producers shouldn’t be answerable to Al-Azhar’s Fatwas.” “Dr. Ahmad Rasem Al-Nafis” a well-known Egyptian Shia scholar expresses his opinion about this topic.

It is worth noting that Prophet Joseph (A) Series is produced by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and dubbed to Arabic in the name of “Yousef al-Seddiq” and it is broadcasting in some of Arabic and satellites channels.
