The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry has withdrawn their decision to bar biased Saudi cleric Mohammed Al-Arifi from entry into the country, following the pressure of Wahabbis of Kuwait.Shiite News correspondent in his exclusive report disclosed that the decision to ban the entry of controversial wahabbi cleric of Saudia was triggered a serious rift amongst the people, particularly Members of the Parliament.In contrast to this, the latest move by the ministry to revoke its previous decision equally provoked immediate reactions. MP Saleh Ashour faulted the Minister of Interior Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled Al-Sabah for backtracking on the decision.“You are mistaken by backpedaling on your previous decision to bar Al-Arifi from entering into the country, for he had insulted a large segment of the society by attacking their faith,” the lawmaker was quoted as saying.Wahabbi, Member of Parliament Waleed Al-Tabtabaie thanked the government for the decision, adding that all should work together for the stability of Kuwait.However, the turnaround by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior triggered strong and mixed reactions, with MP Aseel Al-Awadhi warning against the “monitoring” of ideas of people intending to enter the country, and stressing that it is not the government or Parliament’s business to do so. MP Hussein Al-Qallaf, for his part, vowed to take tough action if Al-Arifi is allowed entry into the country.
It may be noted here that Wahabbi cleric Mohammad al-Areifi, of Saudia Arabia in his Friday sermon given the insluting remarks against the most reverd Shia cleric in Iraq, Ayatullah Syed Ali Al-Sistani, the biased wahabbi Saudi cleric called Ayatullah al-Sistani an “atheist and debauched.”
