During a graduation ceremony held for Muslim students of the faculty, the top students received the Quran copies and CDs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Amir Daneshjuyan Iran cultural attaché in Ethiopia said, “Muslims’ major problems today result from belief in some traditional customs wrongly associated with the religion.”
“As intellectual Muslims, you ought to go through Islamic sources beside your academic studies to know your faith better,” he said adding that there are some groups committing wrong deeds in the name of Islam because of their lack of knowledge about their faith.
Mr. Daneshjuyan also gave a brief account of the activities of Iran Cultural Center such as providing library services, holding scientific and religious seminars as well as cooperation with cultural and Islamic centers.
