Nigerian Shia Muslims Mourn Matrydom of Imam Mussa Al-Kadhim (AS)

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria Mourned the martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Mussa Al-Kadhim (AS) in Zaria where thousands of Mourners from different part of the Country attended. The programme was celebrated together with annual Matrys Day of the Islamic Movement.

Shuhada day is organized annually in remembrance of members of the Movement in Nigeria who attained matrydom in the course of Islam. In a celebration organized by Shuhada Foundation of the Islamic Movement at Eid ground Zaria, thousands of Members  attended. Also in attendance were families of the martyrs .

The chairman of the Foundation, Mallam Abdulhameed Bello presented the annual report of the foundation, the progress and future plans. He said the  number of martyrs since the beginning of the struggle now reaches one hundred and twenty seven (127) and the Foundation has under its care two hundred (200) children of the Martyrs.

Mallam Bello explained that the Foundation has planned for Business ventures to support its activities which is mainly taking care of children and dependants of the martyrs- feeding, accommodation, education and health care.

He express profound gratitude for all who contributed during the year ended and call on members  to look into the gravity of the responsibility upon them  with the view of shouldering it.

At the end of the gathering gift and trophies were presented to those who contributed immensely to cause of Shuhada and those who performed thier duties well during the year.

A passenger Vehicle was won by Potiskum Zone for their outstanding performance. Other gifts Items include set of computers, Books and trophies.
