Yusuf Azuza said: “with the presence of Muslim scholars and intellectuals from various Islamic countries, the three-day meeting commenced yesterday, in the first day of which the legal dimensions of endowments and the true management of these assets were discussed.”
Underlining the importance of endowment, Belkacem Kherouata the director of the Endowments Center in Algeria Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments said: “specified rules and regulations are needed to be issued in this respect, the existing rules have to be revised and the ones in charge have to be trained the required instructions for the true management of these assets to be mainly used for the construction of mosques and also to be considered as a financial support to the religious centers and the have-nots.”
Also in this meeting, there will be a discussion on how the pieces of the lands devoted to the religious centers have to be used properly and particularly to provide help to the needful people.
In this respect, the 1st meeting on “the economic and social importance of endowments” was held in Dar-ol Imam in Constantine in 2006.
