The book written in Arabic by Javad Ali Kasar, a Lebanese Quran researcher, consists of four chapters: “Quran sciences and principles of interpretation”, “reconciliation among the mystic, jurisprudent and philosopher from Imam Khomeini’s point of view”, “commentary and Quranic allusions by Imam” and “Quranic biography and memorizations of Imam Khomeini”. He discusses the topic of the first chapter through the following ten parts: “the possibility of recognition”, “need for interpretation”, “Quran commentary and intentions”, “tafsir-be-ra’y” (commentary based on one’s own understanding), “theory of understanding levels”, “the obstacles for understanding Quran”, “the conflict between inward and outward”, “Quran commentary based on the requirements of time”, “the abbreviations” and “Quran’s immunity to change”. In the introduction of the book, the author divides the Quranic heritage of Imam Khomeini to the four parts, including Imam’s works on seminary sciences, Imam’s sermons and preaches on scientific and social levels based on Quranic principles and teachings, Imam’s ideas in the commentary on “Fateha” the first surah of Quran, and Imam’s letters which contain many Quranic concepts and their investigations will help the researchers in understanding Imam’s methodology for comprehending the Quran.
