“Mohammad Rasool-ol-Allah” Center Opens in the Philippines

A Dar-ol-Quran center named “Mohammad Rasool-ol-Allah” (Mohammad, the Prophet of God) has been inaugurated in “Maharlika” Mosque in Manila by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s cultural center.

Shahaboddin Daraie, Iran’s cultural attaché in Manila, said in the opening ceremony,"The enemies of Islam are quite aware of the importance of this holy book and so it is incumbent upon us, Muslims, to appreciate the value of this heavenly gift.”

He went on to say that the Quran is a book of blessing, whose instructions provide a roadmap for humanity on how to live their lives.

Referring to the Quran as the book of guidance and light, which can brighten the heart and soul of mankind and society, he added, “Only those with pure hearts and souls can understand its truth, for the Quran itself says that it is a book for guiding the most pious.”

Further in his remarks, Daraie pointed to international Quran recitation contests annually held in Iran and said that Iran cultural center in the Philippines is ready to send senior Philippine reciters and memorizers to Iran to attend the contests.

More than 70 male and female Quran learners have registered at the “Mohammad Rasool-ol-Allah” Dar-ol-Quran center so far to learn recitation and Tajweed (proper pronunciation during Quran recitation) and the number is expected to rise in the following days.
