Upon completion, the 8-volume encyclopedia will contain 500 main entries as well as 5000 sub entries on two major themes: Quranic sciences and Quranic teachings. It is being compiled by scholars at the center’s Quranic research department under the supervision of Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Akbar Rashad.
Executive director of the encyclopedia Hojat-ol-Islam Alavi Mehr said that scientific teams specialized in various branches of science including philosophy, discourse, Sufism, epistemology, literature, history, economy, law, politics, sociology, psychology, astronomy, educational sciences, management and medicine are working to complete the project.
The first volume of the Quranic Studies Encyclopedia is due to be published soon and an index of its contents will be available for researchers at the 22nd Tehran international book fair, he noted.
