AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Mohammad Akbari, the Deputy Head of the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan said: Taliban should try to rule over the hearts of the people of Afghanistan.
Hojjat-ul-Islam and Muslim Mohammad Akbari, the Deputy Head of the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan, stated during an event in Kabul that the Taliban should try to rule over the hearts of the people of Afghanistan.
The Deputy Head of the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan, while speaking at a ceremony marking the birthday of Imam Ali (AS) in western Kabul, suggested that the Taliban leader appoint three Sunni scholars to work closely with Shia scholars.
He stated that this move could strengthen national unity between sects in Afghanistan and, on the other hand, would have positive outcomes for both the government and the people.
Akbari emphasized that the Islamic Emirate should rule over the hearts of the people and that the Islamic Emirate should make efforts to cooperate with the people, so that everyone works together to build a prosperous nation.
The Deputy Head of the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan made it clear that Shias, particularly the Hazara people, have always rejected and will continue to reject the Islamic Emirate because our country needs unity and Islamic brotherhood, and with the strengthening of Islamic unity, foreign influence in the country will be blocked.
Akbari also mentioned that the responsibilities and duties of the government towards the people are difficult and heavy, and the government should always be compassionate towards the people and strive to solve their problems, while also taking steps towards bringing different sects and ethnic groups closer together.
He pointed out that in the current Afghan society, Shias have always rejected the idea of opposing the Taliban.
He further said that some people, out of ignorance, accuse each other, even though there is no difference between Shia and Sunni. We all believe in death, and we all believe in the essential principles of Islam.
Maulawi "Shamsullah Hamad", one of the security officials of the Taliban in the Shia-majority area of Kabul, said during the event that we all saw that in the past, people were divided based on language into Persian and Pashto speakers, and there was division in society. But now we are happy to be present at the ceremony of the Shia community of Afghanistan.
This Taliban security official added that the security forces of the Islamic Emirate (Taliban) have provided security for Shia ceremonies until now and will continue to make more efforts in the future.
He emphasized that the Taliban is fighting against corruption and conspiracies that are trying to undermine the current system of Afghanistan, and at the same time, he mentioned that the cooperation of the people with security forces is vital and necessary.
Meanwhile, Hojjat-ul-Islam and Muslim Sayed Hassan Salehi, a university professor and the executive head of the Kabul Ulema Supervisory Council, referred to the virtues and character of Imam Ali (AS) during the ceremony and emphasized that Muslim and Christian scholars have acknowledged the virtues of Imam Ali (AS).
Salehi said: "Imam Ali (AS), even though he knew that danger was threatening him, chose to sleep in the bed of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and defended the Prophet and his religion until the end."
This Shia scholar also mentioned that Imam Ali (AS) was cautious in safeguarding and managing public funds and added that everyone should take lessons from the behavior of Imam Ali (AS).
