Exhibition of Quran attributed to Imam Ali in Aligarh Muslim University, India (+Photos)

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S), Aligarh Muslim University's Maulana Azad Library and Ali Society inaugurated an exhibition of the Quran attributedto Imam Ali and many rare books and letters of historical importance related to him.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S), Aligarh Muslim University's Maulana Azad Library and Ali Society inaugurated an exhibition of the Quran attributedto Imam Ali and many rare books and letters of historical importance related to him.

A two-day book and manuscript exhibition organised by the Maulana Azad Library of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in collaboration with the ‘Ali Society’ on the occasion of Ali Day, marking the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib, concluded on Wednesday.

This exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Naima Khatoon.

This exhibition also included 6 handwritten prescriptions, various prescriptions of the Quran in different languages and a 900-year-old prescription of Nahjul Balagha.

Professor Natasha Fatema, the librarian of Maulana Azad Library, told the Vice Chancellor about the historical importance of these prescriptions.

Professor Naima also unveiled a booklet based on historical books and letters in the exhibition. This booklet was prepared by Professor Natasha.

In the exhibition, a handwritten Quran, which is believed to have been written by Imam Ali (A.S) himself, kept the attention of the people.

Some verses of the Quran written by Jahanara, princess of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Some very old and historical manuscripts of “Qasida Hafiz” written in praise of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and Nahjul Balagha were also displayed in the exhibition.
