AhlulBayt News Agency: During a ceremony held in Tehran on Wednesday, winners of different categories of the 10th Arbaeen International Award were named and received their awards.

The Al-Zahra (SA) Husseiniya (religious center) of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) hosted the event.

In the category of photography, Ahmed al-Mustafa Yaseen from Iraq came first, while Mehdi Tirani and Amir Hossein Kamali from Iran jointly came second.

The top winners in the category of movies were Ruhollah Nahvi from Iran, Hassan De Kula and Puriya Nabati from Italy, and Sajjad Dehnavi and Ali Shahabnejad from Iran.

Mina Forqani from Iran, HArmit Sing from Pakistan, Bushra Sahebi from Iran, Mohammad Reza Tahmasebi from Iran and Sadeq Ahangaran from Iran were named the top winners in the categories of Travelogue, cyberspace activists, poetry, and Arbaeen songs, respectively.

The Arbaeen International Award was first launched in 2014 to reflect the manifestations of the Arbaeen march, which is one of the largest gatherings in the world.

Arbaeen is a religious event observed by Shia Muslims on the fortieth day after the Day of Ashura, commemorating the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the third Shia imam.

Every year, millions of Shia Muslims walk to the holy city of Karbala in Iraq, where the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located, to pay tribute to his sacrifice and legacy.

The majority of the pilgrims come from Iraq and Iran, but many others join from different countries and regions.
