AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Islamic Republic of Iran’s Culture House in Pakistan hold a grand ceremony on the 5th anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani and his companion Abu Mahdi al Muhandis In Pakistan’s economy hub, Karachi.
The ceremony was attended by many academic, religious, political, and cultural figures from Pakistan. They paid tribute to martyr Qasem Soleimani and his revolutionary ideas. Discussions focused on his role in Islamic resistance, his support for oppressed nations like Palestine, and the lasting impact of his school of thought on future generations.
Dr. Saeed Talebi-Niya, Director of Iran’s Culture House in Pakistan, praised the sacrifices and dedication of martyr Qasem Soleimani. He called him a symbol of courage and honor for the Muslim Ummah. He added that Soleimani's efforts united Shia and Sunni Muslims in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine, contributing to a strong Islamic resistance today. He added that Soleimani and this thoughts is belong to every free man all over the world.
Allama Syed Hassan Zafar Naqvi, The leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan, described Soleimani as a school of thought. He said that Soleimani was more than just a military commander; he was a symbol of freedom and resistance. Ayatollah Ghulam Abbas Raisi, a religious scholar from Pakistan, said that honoring martyrs like Soleimani is a way of honoring the path of Allah, as they gave their lives for Islam.
Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary General of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan, condemned the criminal act of assassination of Soleimani and other resistance leaders by the US and said that this act is against international laws and is condemnable. He added that despite the US's intentions, Soleimani’s name and his ideas have spread worldwide, especially in Palestine, where he is deeply respected for his support.
Professor Khayal Afaqi, a well-known Sunni scholar from Sindh, praised Soleimani's struggle and support for Palestine. He also recited poems in his honor.
The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony, where awards were given to winners of the Quran Competition, Palestine and Lebanon Resistance Poetry Competition, and the All-Pakistan Book Competition. Special documentaries about martyr Qassem Soleimani were shown. Many Iranian and Pakistani women also attended the ceremony as well as gents.
The event in Karachi proved that martyr Qassem Soleimani's legacy is not limited to Iran, but has become a symbol of resistance and courage for Muslims worldwide.
