AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Pakistani Shia cleric Allama Shabbir Hassan Maisami described the life of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) as a beacon of light for solving the problems of the present era and said that her life is a source of guidance for the Muslim Ummah in every era.
Allama Shabbir Hassan Maisami, the Secretary General of the Shia Ulema Council, attended a two-day international conference on “Girls' Education in Muslim Societies: Challenges and Opportunities.”
The event was held at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. It was organized by Rabita Alam-e-Islami and saw the participation of representatives from various Islamic countries, scholars, and educationists.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss the challenges that Muslim societies face in promoting girls' education and to create a unified strategy to overcome these issues. During the conference, several sessions and working groups were held to address misconceptions about women’s education and develop a comprehensive plan.
In his speech, Allama Maisami highlighted the life of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) as a guiding light for solving the problems of today. He emphasized that her life serves as a source of inspiration for Muslims in all times.
The participants of the conference agreed that in Islam, women have the same right to education as men. They also stressed the need for Muslim societies to take more steps to eliminate the barriers preventing women from receiving education.
