AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Tuesday, Shia people celebrated the birthday of Hazrat Ali (A.S) with great pomp.
The festival of 13th Rajab was celebrated on Tuesday to celebrate the birth of the first Imam Hazrat Ali (A.S).
The series which started with Nazr in the houses of the Shia community early in the morning turned into celebration late at night.
On one hand, while the process of eating Nazr continued in the houses, on the other hand, a gathering was organized in the honor of Imam Ali (A.S) in the Imambaras, Rozas and Karbalas glittering with colorful lights across the city.
Imam's message was conveyed to the people by setting up sabeels in various location of Indian. Sweets, sherbet and ice cream along with puri-sabzi, chola-rice were distributed at these sabeels.
At the same time, Imam's nazr was offered by decorating dastarkhwan in homes. Women cooked various tasty dishes including kheer. People of the Shia community wore new clothes.
Then, people formed groups and went to each other's homes to taste the nazr of the Imam. The process of people coming and going to homes continued till late night.
Similarly, the celebrations continued throughout the night in the Lucknow city's Imambara Shahnajaf, Imambara Agabakar, Shabih-e-Najaf, Karbala Imdad Hussain Khan and Roza-e-Kazman.
Hazrat Ali's birthday is celebrated on the 13th of the Islamic month of Rajab. On this occasion, people of the Muslim community celebrate with joy by offering Nazar Niyaz.
All India Mehfil-e-Maqasidah was organized on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali at Roza-e-Kazman in Saadatganj by Idara Waris-e-Kaaba.
Addressing the gathering, senior religious leader Maulana Hamidul Hasan said that the Imam taught humans to live with each other with love and affection. After this, poets presented their poetry.
Jashn-e-Maulud-e-Haram was also celebrated in Imambada Agha Bakar situated in Chowk on behalf of Idara Khuddam-e-Maulud-e-Haram.
The gathering was started by Qari Nadeem Najafi by reciting the Holy Quran. After this, Maulana Abbas Irshad and Maulana Mutaqi Zaidi addressed the gathering and described the virtues of the Imam. The gathering was presided over by Maulana Mirza Muhammad Ashfaq and conducted by Nayyar Majidi.
