Al-Abbas Shrine holds its central celebration on birth anniversary of Imam Ali (+Photos)

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held its own annual central celebration on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held its own annual central celebration on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

The ceremony, which was held at the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), witnessed the presence of Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, a member of the holy shrine's Board of directors, a number of its officials, religious figures, in addition to a large number of visitors.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Haider al-Bazouni, followed by a speech by the general secretariat of the Al-Abbas' (p) Shrine delivered by Sheikh Ali Mohan, beginning by congratulating those present and the Islamic nation on the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

In his speech, Mohan touched upon aspects of the biography of Imam Ali (Peace be upon him), his virtues and his status with the messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).

A member of the central celebrations committee at the holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said: "the activities of the ceremony included various paragraphs, including: making ceremonial speeches, poems, and religious songs for the Blessed anniversary."

He added that " the holy shrine will announce the names of the winners of the cultural competition on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) on Sunday (26/01/2025), and receive the prize at the Quranic forum to be held by the general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine on Tuesday (27th Rajab 1446 AH) In the Holy Courtyard along the anniversary of the Mab'ath of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and the national day of the Holy Quran after Maghrib and Isha prayers.

The ceremony included the recitation of a collection of poems by poets: Ali Riad, Mohammed Al-A'ajibi, Abu Mohammed Al-Mayahi, and the two Radoods: Qahtan Al-Badiri, and Ali al-Ambar.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to establish cultural, awareness-raising and festive programs and events in order to commemorate the occasions of the imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
