6,060 Kyrgyz Muslims to perform Hajj in 2025

The number of Hajj pilgrims from Kyrgyzstan who will perform Hajj this year is 6,060.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The number of Hajj pilgrims from Kyrgyzstan who will perform Hajj this year is 6,060.

Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Abdulaziz Zakirov held a meeting with Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj Affairs Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman, where they discussed the organization of Hajj 2025, Kabar reports.

During the meeting the successful preparation of Kyrgyzstan for the Hajj was noted, the Spiritual Boards of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan said.

The discussion was held in a broad format and that work has already begun to provide Kyrgyz pilgrims with housing, food and comfortable conditions for worship in holy places.

Following the meeting, the sides signed agreements on preparations for Hajj 2025, under which Kyrgyzstan has been allocated 6,060 quotas for pilgrims.

Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country with mountainous terrain in Central Asia. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west and southwest, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east. Its capital and largest city is Bishkek.

Official sources estimate that 80 percent of the country’s population is Muslim.
