A campaign has been launched in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to ensure that every home in the city has a copy of the Holy Quran.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A campaign has been launched in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to ensure that every home in the city has a copy of the Holy Quran.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai and deputy prime minister and minister of defense of the UAE, on Sunday launched the second season of the ‘Muezzin Al Freij’ initiative with a renewed focus on strengthening family roles in promoting national identity and Islamic values among younger generations.

Sheikh Hamdan also announced the launch of the ‘Quran in Every Home’ campaign, aimed at ensuring every household in Dubai has a copy of the Quran, enhancing religious awareness and accessibility.

As part of the initiative, Quran copies will be distributed in several mosques across Dubai, especially those receiving large numbers of worshippers, encouraging families to recite and reflect on its verses during Ramadan, which begins in seven weeks.

The second season of Muezzin Al Freij will expand the number of participating mosques by 50% and target children aged 6-14 to strengthen their connection to mosques and encourage them to recite the call to prayer (adhan) and participate in Tarawih, the voluntary night prayers during Ramadan.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the second edition of the initiative aims to deepen children’s bond with mosques, foster community engagement, and leave a lasting impression on their spiritual growth.
