AhlulBayt News Agency: The Nasser Medical Complex announced the complete suspension of health services provided at the complex, except for critical departments, which include intensive care, emergency operations, dialysis, the oxygen station, and lighting in the emergency department.
The medical complex announced in a press release on Wednesday that this decision was made due to the depletion of fuel, confirming that all generators at the complex have stopped, with only a small generator currently operational.
It was noted that the amount of fuel available in the complex is sufficient to run the small generator for only three hours, warning of a humanitarian and health disaster threatening the lives of patients who could suffocate on their ICU beds.
The complex emphasized that it needs 5,500 liters of diesel daily to ensure the continuation of medical services.
It appealed to international organizations and entities for urgent intervention to provide fuel to guarantee the ongoing delivery of medical services.
