AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Razavi University of Islamic Sciences (RUIS) aims to spread Islamic knowledge globally.
Razavi University of Islamic Sciences, affiliated with Astan Quds Razavi, has been providing diverse services to Muslims worldwide since its inception in 1985.
The late Ayatollah Tabasi, the former custodian of AQR, had a visionary approach to the university's activities, emphasizing the recruitment of elite international students.
The university admitted its first foreign students from China and Pakistan, many of whom are now influential in their home countries.
Hoj. Mohsen Asadi Moaddab, head of International Affairs at the university, highlighted the university's role in hosting international conferences, starting with the first International Imam Reza Congress.
“The university collaborates with institutions globally, such as the Sorbonne University in Paris, and has published joint works like ‘Diwan Shamim al-Walaa fi al-Nabi wa Ahl al-Bayt’ with the Karbala Research and Studies Center”, Hoj. Asadi Moaddab said.
Since 1990, the university has been sending international missionaries to various countries, initially focusing on African nations. Over 30 missionaries have been dispatched, many of whom hold prominent political, cultural, and religious positions today. The university also engages in scientific exchanges and cooperation with foreign universities and cultural centers.
The university plans to admit students from Albania and other European countries soon.
So far, around 100 international students have graduated, actively promoting and teaching Islamic sciences worldwide.
RUIS continues to reflect a comprehensive image of Islam and Shia teachings, preparing students to become active ambassadors of the Islamic Republic and Astan Quds Razavi.
