AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli occupation forces bombed a town in southern Lebanon and raided another one, as Israeli officials said it does not consider the 60-day deadline for withdrawal from southern Lebanon to be sacred and it depends on facts on the ground.

The Lebanese News Agency said, “The Israeli enemy targeted the vicinity of the Imam Al-Sadr Sports Complex in the Dubay area, west of the town of Mays Al-Jabal, with an artillery shell.”

The agency added that Israeli tanks, accompanied by a military bulldozer, advanced into the town of Maroun Al-Ras and Aqaba Maroun neighborhood in the city of Bint Jbeil in Nabatieh Governorate, in southern Lebanon.

Another force of the Israeli occupation army advanced towards the town of Burj al-Muluk in the Marjayoun district of Nabatiyeh, stationed in the town and closed the road with barbed wire, it added.

These incursions come while Israeli forces continue to occupy several Lebanese towns and villages, in breach of the ceasefire agreement that came into force on November 27.

For its part, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Mirjana Spoljaric stressed that civilians cannot bear the collapse of ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.

Spoljaric underscored that maintaining ceasefire is necessary for families to return to their homes and for aid to reach those in need.

Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted Israeli official sources as saying there has been no decision on the extension of the army’s presence in southern Lebanon.
