AhlulBayt News Agency: The procession of the people of Karbala commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him) by carrying his symbolic coffin at the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).
The symbolic funeral is an annual tradition that was held by the people of the holy city of Karbala and the lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in coordination with the Department of Hussayni Rituals and Processions, as an expression of their grief and suffering from this tragedy on the day of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him).
One of the procession's servants; Mr. Kadhem al-Karbalai, said that"the symbolic funeral ceremony started from the Baghdad gate area passing through the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and then the convoy heads to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), to offer condolences to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".
He added that "symbolic mourning is an annual tradition held by the procession, with the participation of a number of Husseini-Karbala bodies and processions of various parties, and includes a condolence in which the participants chanted a set of lamentations that carry in their words sympathy for the Master of the Order and Time, the awaited Imam al-Mahdi (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), for this great sad occasion".
For his part, one of the participants in the procession, Mr. Adel al-Wazni, said that " the people of Karbala used on such days to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him), through the procession of the people of Karbala, through the funeral of the symbolic coffin of the Imam (peace be upon him), chanting slogans and chants that express the painful tragedy.
The procession servants of the people of Karbala thanked the holy shrine for its organization of funeral processions commemorating the occasions of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is keen to hold a mourning ceremony and show manifestations of grief on religious occasions that commemorate the imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), including commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him).
